Kicking off our next 4 track vinyl sampler is Toolroom’s very own Martin Ikin, who returns to the label with ‘Make U Sweat’! He was Beatport’s best-selling Tech House artist for 2020 & 2021 and boasts over 1 Million monthly listeners across streaming platforms. Recent studio collaborations have seen him working with Noizu & Joshwa and touring has taken him far and wide across the USA, Brazil, Bali, Ibiza, Italy, Croatia and of course his home city of London. This new record is the follow up to ‘Oscill8’ which was released back in March of 2023 and sits in a similar vein in that it’s a pure, unadulterated club weapon! Next up is Italian house legend Flashmob with the frantic, high energy club vibe of the new cut, ‘My Body’. Flashmob’s sound, production and daredevil DJ sets have altered in lockstep with the evolving market, embracing the vitality of new house music rather than bemoaning sentimental sunsets. His ethic and aesthetic move inexorably forwards, utilising old and new to create a unique sonic alchemy from huge festivals such as Tomorrowland, to the intimacy of small clubs on the international circuit. ‘My Body’ is typical of Flashmob’s current sound, combining solid drums with crazy synths & FX, along with a catchy vocal sample which all results in another memorable club record from an established master. Canadian Tech House master Nathan Barato debuts on Toolroom, opening the B side of the vinyl alongside his studio partner, Matheo Velez, with ‘Weapon’. A record that’s already been catching the attention of the underground elite, with Michael Bibi previewing the track at his first ever DC-10 Ibiza appearance last summer. Both artists are enjoying huge success across key labels including Viva, Circus, Snatch & RAWthentic. This is a dynamic, engaging club track that packs a serious punch on the dance floor and features Nathan’s own vocal, “Move me… Rock me”! Rounding off the package are UK DJ/Producer duo Jenn Getz & Alfie, who are residents at Soho Garden, Dubai’s number 1 nightlife destination, where they warm up weekly for legends including Sonny Fodera, MK, Claptone, Solardo & Fisher. In their relatively short 3-year careers, they’ve already released on Solotoko, Abode & Toolroom Trax and now make their Toolroom debut with ‘Vibration’. Both girls are incredibly passionate about house music and are also huge advocates of leading a wellness and meditation focused life. The idea for this record was to fuse their two passions, so they began to co-write the original lyrics to accompany the track which is very inspiring in itself!
