Five years after DJ Lelli, DJ Frank and DJ Ghello curated the first celebratory Arlecchino compilation - a refined walk through groove, disco and funk rarities - the series returns for a fourth instalment. The dust-fingered diggers are back at the controls once again delivering a selection of heavy-hitting cuts of old obscure gems, with a sprinkling of their own fresh but nostalgic gems (see "Low Power", their deep funk remake of Lee Dorsey's "Night People"). There's plenty to get the heart racing, with highlights including the dusty reggae-soul of The Marvells' cover of Aretha's classic "Rocksteady", the horn-powered disco-funk shuffle of The Crusaders' "Stomp & Buck Dance", the bluesy funk-soul confusion of Gloria Lynne's "If You Don't Get It Yourself" and the deep funk excellence of Lee Fields' "Funky Screw".
