Back in 1999, label boss Ewan Jansen received demos from Kai Kroker (aka Rawell), who later featured on Red Ember's very first compilation, 'Deepsounds One'.
These forgotten demos (even lost by Rawell himself), along with other works from 1995-2002, make up a truly deeply emotional double LP of minimal house, techno and leftfield; a heartfelt synthesis of 90s Berlin minimalism and romanticism. Also included is a 6-track ambient/downbeat digital EP (including the original version of 'Tailwind').
Move D's gloriously melancholic and life-affirming mix of 'Tailwind' is a truly special reunion between close friends; the pair's last collaboration was back in 2005 under the 'Faked.Info' alias and both recorded with Jamie Hodge under the 'Studio Pankow' collective.[info sheet from distribution]
