Nastia Reigel's long-awaited second EP on Dustin Zahn's 'Enemy Records' has finally arrived! "Disarm to Surrender" demonstrates a perfect balance of artistic taste and technical ability.
The EP opens with the heaviest track, Horses. Backed by hypnotic broken vocals, the track moves forward with a determined and uncompromising pace. Trace follows more sober and minimalist, but manages to maintain perfect tension. The B-side opens with "Natural Desires". It is just as hypnotic as the A-side, but more spacious and groove-oriented, making it an ideal track for warming up or chilling out. The title track, "Disarm to Surrender", rounds off the EP in a more abstract way. The track hints at the noise and post-punk influences present in her alternative project, Rosa Damask.
