Marco Faraone is the latest artist on the DCLTD imprint with his four-track album "Open Your Eyes". “Open Your Eyes”: the title track combines fast, driving techno rhythms, with an insistent pizzicato, a subtly dominant monotony, all topped off with a deep male vocal command - “concentrate”, until the moment of the big breakdown announced by the female voice “open your eyes” and a fast run towards a satisfying finale. Uncompromising and invasive in the best sense of the word. “Enigma”: techno rhythms are accompanied by a resonant synth melody with an 80s atmosphere, hypnotic and cheerful, counterpointed by a touch of melancholy in the high synth notes that creep into the breakdown.
