Berlin-based Greek artist Georgios Papamanoglou returns to his Deep Series imprint with the 'Instan Bliss' EP this March, accompanied by two remixes from Iron Curtis.
Georgios Papamanoglou has been active in the underground House and Techno scene since the turn of the millennium, leaving behind his multiple labels Diaphan Music and Deep Series with his own and other artists' releases such as Nekes and Ekkohaus, among others. After a few years break, 2023 saw Georgios return to relaunch his Deep Series imprint with the 'Dark Path' EP, which included a remix from his fellow Greek and Techno stalwart XDB. Here he returns with his new project 'Instant Bliss', comprised of two original tracks and two remixes from beloved Office Recordings and Hudd Traxx artist, Iron Curtis. 'Millions Of Sounds' opens the album and sees Georgios lay out a fizzy arpeggiated lead line, sparkling analogue percussion and intricate and oscillating synth lines, all in a dynamic evolution and unfolding. Following is Iron Curtis' 'Drama Mix' of 'Instant Bliss', which sees the German artist employ hypnotic atmospheres, cinematic strings and a driving bass sequence, along with essential drums.
Opening the B-side is Iron Curtis' second remix, 'Supersorry Mix' of 'Instant Bliss', this time focusing on squelchy 303 riffs, crisp breakbeats and an underlying structural tension. Papamanaglou's original of 'Instant Bliss' then completes the package, a cinematic nine-minute journey through enchanting strings, polyrhythms and robotic glitches. [info sheet from distribution]
