Repress - COEO is to Toy Tonics records what Masters at Work was to the 90s House scene: they bring Soul into House. Their new EP Back In The Days is a House concentrate with 4 tracks that could have been produced in 1997 by artists like Sneak, Dimitri from Paris or Little Louie. But the similarities with the new Berlin Sample-House scene of Max Graef and Hodini are still evident. Their super hit from last year, NATIVE RIDDIM (included as a bonus track on this vinyl), already featured some impactful jazz samples found in their parents' soul collection. Native Riddim remained at the top of the Traxsource charts for several weeks and was the basis of their already enormous following. From Laurent Garnier to Tensnake, the feedback has been fantastic. Now they continue on their path of soul house. Simply good taste.
