Always ready to catch your attention with its multilayered grooves, this EP contains an old Juan Atkins sample "Buy some shit from Detroit," which has been part of Beroshima's live sets for years. The excellent opener "Encounter" reflects a recent idea by Jeff Mills and Muller: to jointly produce tracks for a science fiction film that has yet to be produced. It's an eight-minute astral techno journey with a fluid, driving drum and numerous intergalactic synth lines. "The Passion of Lovers" transfers Beroshima's organic style into 2018 and showcases Frank's passion for space electronics.
