Born in 1977, Les Cigales was a club in Bedizzole, just outside Lake Garda on the Brescia side. Attended by a public that was not strictly post-hippie, it was known as a gay discotheque, but in a short time, it became a symbol of the hottest nights. Thousands of people would arrive on Saturdays from all over Italy to listen to the music, which ranged from disco to soul, from funky to jazz, even touching on electronic sounds.
