Attack The Dancefloor 17 (Special Remix EP)
12"
genre: HOUSE - DISCO
label: Z Records Cat.No: ZEDD12305
The seventeenth installment of our Attack The Dancefloor series, still dedicated to vinyl only. This time, in this special edition, we bring you some exclusive remixes.
To start, we have Freerange boss, Jimpster, remixing the Sunburst Band classic, 'He Is'. The great Jimpster has delivered a rich and sublime mix that truly deserves to be called Deep House. Warm Rhodes riffs shine over deep kicks, dubby guitars, and ethereal echoes. The whole track is imbued with Jimpster's skilled touch as a producer, and we think this is one of his best remixes. A celestial remix, one might say.
Next up, a long-lost remix of Joey Negro's 'I Recognise' by Andrés. Never before released, it was discovered deep within a hard drive in the ZR archives and is now finally seeing the light it deserves. Andrés does what you'd expect from him, delivering a punchy, MPC-driven remix, making great use of the synth lines and vocoder.
Fresh from a string of successful remixes for Glitterbox, JKriv from Razor N Tape turns the disco arpeggios up to the max with his overwhelming remix of Prospect Park's 'The Kinda Love', complete with live strings and percussion.
Last but not least, The Visions' dreamy piano remix of the Jakatta classic 'My Vision', featuring none other than Seal on lead vocals. [distributor's info sheet]
