Unsung hero of House, Steve Bug has been there and done it all. Arguably Germany’s most important pioneer, his Poker Flat label has been a seminal imprint. Celebrating 20 years of Bondage Pornbugs are mixing in different environments with recent releases for Selador and Acker Dub, showing their crossover appeal with a new generation of DJs.
Opening with “On The Swing” we are delighted with classic deep vibes with a modern touch.
Grooevsome & warm, this will tear up anywhere in the world. As for remix duties,
Mihai Popoviciu drops his distinctive style, toning down the bumps for a deeper ride.
Next up, “Behind The Glass” takes a similar path. Soulful warmth oozes from the speakers as uneven basslines & echoing keys keep time. Reaching a crescendo with muted acid undertones in the latter part keeps the attention high and the dance floor full & happy. For his remix, Markus Homm goes deeper with Detroit undertones. Liquid cooling for the hotter floors.
