In 2015, soulful house queen Stacy Kidd joined forces with Peven Everett to release a limited edition of this dancefloor anthem "Body Jerkin". With these now sought-after records fetching £100+, it's time for a remastered reissue to hit the stores again, and South Street continues to grow its label with essential hits like this.
This repress features 3 essential mixes of the hit "Body Jerkin". The original mix is on side A, with a bass and drum groove joined by strings, a nod to a classic disco hit, and Peven's vocals completing this soulful house groove, the classic that has been heard on dancefloors worldwide since its original release. Side B features a mix never before released on vinyl, the Chicago Mix, and then a Disco Mix never before published. The Chicago mix, a deep and funky groove, soft and effervescent, and the Disco mix, a raw and energetic reinterpretation, complete this trio of impactful house tracks.
