Undiscovered Recordings is an independent record label based in London and Naples, founded in 1994. With the aim of promoting exciting new talent in production, Undiscovered was founded by a team of music industry experts, the two Angelos, Doug, and Mario, in the midst of the 90s dance movement.
The Angelos met while working at UMM and Flying Records. Founding Undiscovered allowed them to move away
from the traditional dance music of the time and to highlight lesser-known artists and styles. Angelo
Tardio, in-house A&R, capitalized on his pioneering career as a DJ, as founder of the iconic U.M.M. label, and his career as a producer for Kwanzaa Posse, where he collaborated with great talents such as Mano Negra, Manu Chao, King Chango, MC Solaar and Les Negresses Vertes, just to name a few. Doug Osborne, a British DJ and producer, and co-founder. Angelo Bernardo brought his years of experience in the music industry to handle the business side of the company, and Mario Nicoletti joined the company as a true living music encyclopedia and expert. Alberto Faggiana joined in 1998 to contribute his industry know-how to handle the legal and administrative aspects. And so the Undiscovered team was complete.
Since then, Undiscovered has evolved with the times, from classic dance genres to Balearic chill-out, always maintaining
the goal of promoting emerging producers and artists. After a long break and following a series of forced changes in the lineup, Undiscovered is back in full form. Kwanzaa Posse achieved success in the 90s with hits like "Wicked Funk", "African Vibrations" and "Musika!", which attracted remix collaborations from Massive Attack, Jam & Spoon, and Ralph Falcon & Oscar Gaetan - aka Murk Boys. Now the production responsible for these seminal tracks is back with a new magical track called "Mali Chant".
