To celebrate the legendary label's 30 years, we've selected legendary tracks and unreleased gems from the rich Black Vinyl Records catalog. Since its inception in 1996, Black Vinyl Records has always been a label for the serious DJ. Tony Humphries, Paul Trouble Anderson, Ricky Morrison, Justin Berkman, David Morales, Bobby & Steve and most of the top underground DJs supported the original vinyl release of Kerri Chandler's first masterpiece, 'My Old Friend Alan', dedicated to label founder Alan Russell, and it gained many more supporters after its recent digital remastering. David Harness's remix of Tedd Patterson's 'Roots' appears here for the first time on vinyl and was featured in no less than 25 Traxsource DJ charts after its digital release in 2022, including those of luminaries such as DJ Pope, Quentin Harris, Kevin Yost, Charles Dockins and many more. The vocal mix of Fresh & Low's 'Fever Tension' has always been a sought-after gem, only appearing on a 'Re:Cuts' release in the early 2000s, and Arnold Jarvis's 'Rising Into Joy' was championed by Danny Rampling, Paul Trouble Anderson, Andy Ward, Deli G and all the 'heads' and is the definition of a Soulful House classic.
