Josh Ludlow
NUOVO EP DI TRANSIZIONE
12"
genre: HOUSE - DISCO
label: TOY TONICS Cat.No: toyt178
Here’s Josh Ludlow’s first EP for Toy Tonics. The mastermind behind Make a Dance, aka M.A.D. records. London’s best kept (or maybe not so secret anymore) underground new dance weapons, played by everybody who matters in the scene.
Josh gives us a killer 4 track release that will make people dance on dancefloors all over the world. He combines 90ies filterhouse influences, 2000s indie dance and some of the bolder contemporary funk vibes that are setting todays clubs on fire. The post-techno generation loves the funky and Josh delivers. Perfectly fitting to the Toy Tonics vibe, this EP will find a lot of friends. Indeed, Josh knows how things are working.
Josh Ludlow has been steadily honing his craft for the past 15 years. He started out releasing Drum & Bass under the moniker "Squash!" in the late 2000s whilst also playing drums in some bands. The former made way for live touring and it wasn't until 2020 that Josh reappeared with new electronic music.
The impetus for this new material to be released came when Josh Ludlow and Ben Lewis formed their much loved project "Make A Dance" (which then went on to found the record label) M.A.D. Records during the pandemic.
Since then, M.A.D have been making a huge impact on the underground scene, becoming regulars at venues such as Fabric, Heidegluhen, Gottwood and gaining support from DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Optimo, Palms Trax and Peggy Gou and on BBC Radio1 as well as regularly featuring as cover shows on NTS for Long Running Host Moxie and Apiento.
This is just the beginning.
