September 26th, 1994 - Jamiroquai released a track that still sounds futuristic today. A mix of electronic, funk, jazz, soul & pop.
The track was later remixed by the legendary David Morales, taking the track to a whole new audience and anthem level... giving the band their first Billboard Dance #1.
The iconic music video was directed by Vaughan Arnell and Anthea Benton and shows Jay Kay dancing in a blue room with different versions of him and other band members appearing and disappearing. The use of motion control allowed for a seemingly continuous shot as the camera moved around the room.
2024, Michael Gray delivers a modern club take on the classic Jamiroquai anthem for his Sultra Records label.
Keeping the original Jamiroquai funk and soul sensibilities, he takes us on a house journey of funky disco rhythms loaded with sharp synth stabs, an overflowing soulful chord melody and a driving drumbeat that settles back in a relaxed fashion, allowing space for the emphasis on Jay Kay's vocal and new bassline. A delicious alternative to the classic floor filler we all know and love [distribution info sheet]
