For its 45th release, Luv Shack Records brings together two long-time collaborators, Jakobin & ROTCIV, for a split EP rich in early 90s electronic references.
Jakobin lays the groundwork with the sparkling and trance-like track "Drawan," continues with the eerie and rhythmic electro of "Skulpt," and concludes with "Octagonial Tribe," a piece that oscillates between relaxed melodies and muted acid sequences.
ROTCIV, on the other hand, showcases his distinctive style of industrial new beat madness: "Frenesy" marries breakbeats with syncopated synth sequences, "No More Room in Hell" sounds like a late 80s Italo Disco instrumental on steroids, while "The Confidence" opts for broken beats and ethereal FM flutes.
