Reaching back into the early 80's but with one foot still firmly in the future, Dr Packer tackles two of Freeez's classic Brit Funk cuts, "I.O.U" and "We Got The Juice", for a double dose of disco re-rubbing.
First up, Freeez's biggest hit, "I.O.U", gets a typical Dr Packer update with a beefed-up bassline and squelching synths, echoed out and extended in all the right places. Over on the B, "We've Got The Juice" gets a full DJ-friendly rework, with Dr Packer re-pitching the bass riff for that extra funk injection, while tightening up the percussion to be let loose on the dancefloor.
